About My Work
I heavily dilute my oils to create crisp lines with watermarks an effect which is emphasized through the application of Japanese rice paper to the canvas base. I try to capture passing moments and still them through sharp images and clear contrasts.
Drawings and Graphic Designs
Currently, I am exploring clear and simple line drawings that reduce the subject’s features to a few simple lines that manage to capture their character. My graphic design work is minimalist and simple achieving easily memorable images.
Art has always been my principal interest which I am pursuing in the field of illustration whilst studying History and the History of Art at Durham University. I grew up on the edge of the Peak District and have been personally pursuing art projects and now have been commissioned for various art, illustration and graphic design projects.
I have been lucky enough to have had my work published recently in magazines such as Voicing the Void and Ustinov Magazine (Durham) and will be presenting their work at their magazine launch party.
I work to commission on both large and small scale projects. If you’d like to discuss a custom made piece please contact me and I’ll be happy to talk about the possibilities.
